Funvitational 2020 has been postponed
This was not an easy decision, but with hard times come hard choices. Given the daily news and ever-changing nature of this time, we felt this was the right step to take as breweries and businesses across the world navigate this crisis. When this is all in the past, we cannot wait to throw the best damn beer festival with our brewing friends and raise a pint together!
When will Funvitational happen then? Is there a date for 2021?
We do not have a date finalized for 2021. That said, we are continuing to work with local festival partners to look at the schedule in 2021 and beyond to find a new date for our Anniversary party.
Fun… what now? What exactly is a Funvitational?
The first Funvitational was held in 2015 as a celebration of our 30th Anniversary. We invited a 100 breweries from all over the world, including many who at the time, did not distribute to Michigan. Living up to its name, the first Funvitational also featured fireworks, a Ferris Wheel, delicious food, a boat with taps, a marching band, live music, giant games, the Banana Car and more.
All in all, an amazing beer experience for our friends in the craft beer industry, our employees, our hometown and of course, our fans.

How soon can I get my hands on some tickets?
Spring 2020. Stay tuned for more information!
When and where is Funvitational (2020)?
Save the date: Sept. 12, 2020. Homer Stryker Field, home of the Kalamazoo Growlers in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Fun fact: the Growlers home is literally right down the street from where Larry Bell started this adventure of ours.
What kinds of beers and breweries will be there?
That’s a secret… we’re not ready to share the brewery and beer list just yet. More information will be announced early in 2020.
We can tell you that our focus will be similar to the first time we hosted this beer festival; a mix of Kalamazoo, Michigan and other breweries from around the country and beyond.
This time around, we will also focus heavily on inviting fellow independent breweries. #seektheseal
